AI Marketplace Distribution

# Distribute AI agents and MCP products through cloud marketplaces.

Package, list, meter, and sell AI agents and MCP products through cloud marketplaces — without building marketplace infrastructure. Suger handles authentication, usage metering, private offers, and entitlement fulfillment so your team ships the AI product, not the plumbing.

## List every kind of AI product

Suger supports the AWS AI API listing types so you can sell the full stack of AI products through the marketplace, and distribute agents on Google Cloud too.

### AI Agents

List autonomous and assistant agents as buyable products, with pricing, trials, and entitlement handled for you.

### MCP Servers

Publish Model Context Protocol servers so buyers can procure and connect them through their cloud account.

### Knowledge Bases

Package retrieval and knowledge-base products with usage-based metering baked in.

### Guardrails

Distribute safety and policy guardrail products alongside the agents and models they protect.

## What lists where

AWS Marketplace and Google Cloud Marketplace expose different AI product types. AWS's AI Agents and Tools category makes agents and individual tools separately listable; Google Cloud Marketplace's catalog is agent-first. Suger handles the listing, metering, and entitlement work for whichever path applies.

**Metering.** On AWS, usage reports through the AWS Marketplace Metering Service (API-based) or container metering, with pricing-model flexibility for AI agents and tools added in October 2025. On Google Cloud, pricing is free, subscription, usage-based, or combined, and usage runs on vendor-defined metrics — time, data processed, storage time, or a custom metric such as API requests (there is no built-in token or agent-run metric).

Verified against the [AWS Marketplace AI Agents and Tools documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/marketplace/latest/userguide/ai-agents-tools.html) and the [Google Cloud Marketplace AI-agent documentation](https://docs.cloud.google.com/marketplace/docs/partners/ai-agents) on August 3, 2026. Google Cloud Marketplace enumerates four AI-agent product types (A2A agent, SaaS, Kubernetes app, Professional Services); MCP servers, knowledge bases, and guardrails are not separately listable AI types there. Marketplace programs change quickly — confirm current support in the linked docs.

## Built for MCP and A2A

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent (A2A) protocols are how AI products discover and call each other. Suger meets buyers on both sides of that connection.

Distribute your own MCP servers and A2A products through the marketplace listing — and, because Suger is itself exposed as an MCP server, agents can query marketplace data directly during a deal.

[MCP integration docs](https://doc.suger.io/integrations/mcp/)

### Sell your MCP servers

Publish MCP servers as buyable marketplace products with pricing and entitlement handled.

### Suger as an MCP server

Bring marketplace context into your agents — see [Suger MCP](/platform/mcp/) and [Insulin](https://www.insulin.dev/).

## The marketplace plumbing, handled

Selling an AI product on a marketplace means solving the same four problems every cloud has. Suger solves them once, everywhere you list.

### Authentication

Buyers authenticate through their cloud identity; Suger maps each entitlement to your product without a bespoke auth build.

### Usage metering

Meter tokens, calls, agent runs, or any custom dimension and report it to each marketplace on the right schedule.

### Private offers

Issue custom pricing, trials, and committed-use deals to enterprise buyers, then track acceptance to close.

### Entitlement fulfillment

Turn a marketplace purchase into a provisioned, revocable entitlement in your product via webhook or API.

## A metered entitlement, end to end

Suppose you list an AI agent priced per run. Here is the path a single marketplace purchase takes — procurement, entitlement, metering, and reconciliation — with Suger handling every step.

1. 1 **Procure.** A buyer subscribes to your agent through their AWS account — no separate contract or invoice.
2. 2 **Entitle.** Suger turns the subscription into a provisioned, revocable entitlement in your product via webhook.
3. 3 **Meter.** You report agent runs to Suger; Suger batches usage to AWS Marketplace Metering on the correct schedule.
4. 4 **Reconcile.** AWS bills the buyer and disburses; Suger matches the disbursement back to the entitlement so finance sees the revenue.

## Your AI launch checklist

- Define your AI product type — agent, MCP server, knowledge base, or guardrail
- Choose a pricing model: subscription, usage-based, or private offer
- Register the metering dimensions you bill on (tokens, runs, calls)
- Connect entitlement fulfillment to your provisioning webhook
- Publish the AWS AI API listing and, where relevant, Google Cloud distribution
- Open private offers to your enterprise pipeline and go live

## AI marketplace distribution questions

What is AI marketplace distribution? +

AI marketplace distribution is the practice of packaging, listing, metering, and selling AI products — agents, MCP servers, knowledge bases, and guardrails — through cloud marketplaces like AWS and Google Cloud, so buyers procure them with their existing cloud commitment.

Which AI products can I list through Suger? +

Suger supports the AWS AI API listing types — AI Agents, MCP Servers, Knowledge Bases, and Guardrails — including products that speak the MCP and A2A protocols. You keep your product; Suger handles the marketplace listing, metering, and fulfillment.

Do buyers connect over MCP or A2A? +

Yes. You can distribute MCP servers and agent-to-agent (A2A) products through the marketplace listing, and Suger itself is exposed as an MCP server so agents can query your marketplace data directly.

How is usage metered and billed? +

You register the dimensions you bill on — tokens, agent runs, API calls, or a custom metric — and Suger meters usage and reports it to each marketplace on the correct schedule, then reconciles the payouts back to you.

Do I need to build marketplace infrastructure? +

No. That is the point of Suger: authentication, metering, private offers, and entitlement fulfillment are handled across all six marketplaces, so your team ships the AI product instead of the plumbing.
